Gamma is a web app that generates presentations, documents, and simple websites from a text prompt or outline, then hands the result to a drag-and-drop editor for manual cleanup.
Gamma is generation-first: describe a topic or paste an outline and it drafts full slides, picking layout, images, and copy, before a person edits by hand. That is the opposite starting point from Figma Slides: there is no design file to import from and no component library behind it. It does not connect to Figma or any other design tool; everything happens inside Gamma's own card-based editor.
Works well for someone who needs a presentable deck quickly and has no existing design file to start from: status updates, workshop handouts, one-off pitches. A weaker fit for a team that needs the deck to match a brand system already built in Figma, or that wants fine-grained layout control from the first draft.
Free plan gives 400 one-time credits (not renewing) and caps generation at 10 cards per prompt; PDF, PPTX, and PNG exports on the free plan carry a "Made with Gamma" watermark. Plus (around $9/seat/month billed annually) removes the watermark and raises the credit allowance to 1,000/month; Pro adds custom branding, analytics, and API access.
