What Teaching Gives You Back

Sharpen your leadership

Guiding learners toward solving a real problem is the same muscle you use leading a design team.

Strengthen your own fundamentals

Explaining a concept clearly to someone new to it is one of the fastest ways to find the gaps in your own thinking.

Join a working design community

Sessions, structured feedback loops, and support from other practicing educators — not just learners.

Shape how the next generation works

Teach the workflows, ethics, and judgment calls that never show up in a portfolio.

The Actual Job

  • Lead live sessions for an assigned batch
  • Answer learner questions and unblock them, during and between sessions
  • Review submitted assignments with specific, actionable feedback
  • Stay engaged for the full length of the batch you're assigned to
  • Model professional design practice — process and communication, not just output

Who Should Apply

  • 2+ years of professional design experience
  • A portfolio that shows range, not just polish on one type of project
  • Comfortable explaining your thinking out loud, live, to a room of learners
  • Bonus: prior experience speaking at conferences, running workshops, or informal teaching
