Figma Slides is a presentation editor built into Figma itself, so decks are created on the same canvas and file system as a team's other Figma work rather than in a separate app.
Because it lives inside Figma, a deck can pull in existing Figma design files directly, and a "Design mode" toggle exposes Auto Layout, the layers panel, and other native Figma controls right inside a slide. That is a different starting point than an AI-generation tool like Gamma: there is no prompt-to-deck step, the content comes from assets a team already has in Figma, plus some AI-assisted text editing for tone and length. FigJam boards can also be converted into a slide outline.
Fits designers and product teams who already keep source files in Figma and want a deck that stays visually consistent with that work without exporting and rebuilding it elsewhere. A poor fit for someone who wants a deck generated from a topic or outline with no existing design files, or a team with no Figma presence to draw from.
Included on Figma's free Starter plan, but capped at 3 Slides files open at once, matching the 3-file cap on Design and FigJam. Full "Design mode" editing (Auto Layout, advanced properties) needs a paid Full seat. Export covers PDF, PNG, JPG, SVG, and PPTX, but PPTX export flattens interactive elements and code blocks into static images, substitutes fonts Figma doesn't have, and converts gradients to solid fills. No bulk export.
