Android Asset Studio is a free, open-source collection of browser-based generator tools, built by Roman Nurik, for producing Android app assets (launcher icons, notification icons, app shortcut icons, and nine-patch UI assets), from a source image or shape.
As a generator rather than a static set, it takes an arbitrary source image or shape and outputs correctly sized, platform-compliant Android asset variants automatically.
Good for Android developers who need spec-correct launcher and notification icon exports without manually resizing and padding assets for every density bucket.
Output is PNG (including nine-patch .9.png files for UI assets), not vector: pair it with a separate vector icon source if you need to regenerate at new sizes later.
