Target participants
Urban homeowners in Indian cities who have booked professional pest control services at least twice in the past year.
The problem
Urban homeowners often pay for professional pest control treatments only to watch cockroaches or termites return within a few months. This leaves families frustrated, wasting money on recurring visits while service vendors blame structural gaps or poor household hygiene.
Most booking apps treat pest control as a one-off transaction rather than an ongoing biological cycle. They fail to track environmental factors, weather patterns, or the specific chemical resistance of pests in different neighborhoods, leaving residents with no way to verify if a treatment was actually done right.
Research question
Why do urban homeowners experience recurring pest infestations shortly after professional treatments, and where do service expectations break down?
