The problem
Many online fashion shoppers in India face a common frustration: the clothes, accessories, or footwear they order often look significantly different when they arrive than they did on the e-commerce website. This discrepancy leads to disappointment, frequent returns, and a feeling of wasted time and money. It also erodes trust in online fashion retailers, making customers hesitant to make future purchases. This issue persists for several reasons. Factors like varying screen calibrations, professional studio lighting used for product photography, and unrealistic styling on models can all contribute to a misleading presentation. The tactile nature of fabric and the true fit of garments are difficult to convey through static images or even short videos, leaving a gap between expectation and reality for the Indian consumer.
