UI/UX Designer Intern

About Global Dream Connect (GDC)

GDC is a student-led, global mentorship platform working to ensure that a teenager's future is not limited by their background. We connect students from underserved communities with mentors from top global universities, and are building digital experiences that are simple, inclusive, and impactful.

Role Overview

We're looking for a UI/UX Designer (beginner–intermediate) who wants to learn by doing and design with purpose. You'll work closely with the founding and tech teams to design intuitive, user-friendly website interfaces — ideal for someone who wants real-world experience, ownership, and meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design clean and intuitive website UI aligned with GDC's mission
• Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs using Figma
• Improve user experience through thoughtful layout, hierarchy, and usability
• Collaborate with the core team to translate ideas into functional designs
• Maintain consistency with GDC's visual and brand guidelines

Who We're Looking For

• Beginner to intermediate UI/UX designers, comfortable working in Figma
• Strong understanding of basic UI/UX principles
• Willingness to learn, iterate, and accept feedback
• Able to commit ~13 hours per week consistently
