Role Overview

We're looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our Surat-based product team and help shape the customer experience across web and mobile touchpoints. You'll be responsible for designing intuitive, high-quality digital experiences that align user needs with business goals, working closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Business teams to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-first interfaces across our e-commerce and marketplace journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply user-centered design principles across all product flows — discovery, listing, checkout, and post-purchase
  • Conduct and interpret user research, usability testing, journey mapping, and persona development
  • Design clean, modern, intuitive interfaces aligned with GEMGEM's premium brand identity
  • Create wireframes, interaction flows, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, with responsive mobile-first consistency
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Developers to translate requirements into functional designs
  • Contribute to and maintain design systems, components, and style guides
  • Ensure consistency, accessibility, and usability standards across all design outputs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3–7 years of professional UI/UX design experience (e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer tech preferred)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX thinking, visual design quality, and problem-solving ability
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with solid understanding of responsive design and usability heuristics
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills
